Many people will laugh hearing the word “alien” or extra terrestrial. Some even will begin to see you as a nerd. But it doesn’t matter to me. I do believe aliens are out there somewhere in the universe. It’s not the question of “IF”, it’s “WHEN”, and I believe it’s soon 🙂
One project we can join is SETI@HOME, short for “Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligent”. @Home means we can help by crunching some radio telescope data using our personal computer. And with today’s powerful CPU lots of data can be processed much faster than it was in the 2001 when I joined the project.

In Linux we use Boinc to run Seti@Home. After installation, in Redhat we need to authorize the client to connect to the Boinc daemon. From the Boinc Manager Gui, open Advance > Select Computer. Input: localhost and the password. The password is from:
